Ellsworth’s Dare is one of the most desirable freeride/downhill rigs in the world – it’s burly, in yer face, immensely chuckable and it can even handle a bit of climbing. As a freeride/downhill bike, the Dare is reassuringly heavy, yet it’s still nimble enough for a spot of XC riding. The weight of the bike proves to be a huge advantage when tackling technical trails, as the rig feels like it’s stuck to the ground. The bike is also outstanding for North Shore-style tomfoolery – we couldn’t resist hucking off the biggest drops around. The Dare is a very aptly-named machine – it allows you to push your riding to the limits.
